Christina and Dr. Mackenzie Zippay on graduation day.

Second to no one, but the second Zippay grad student to defend, Ms. Christina Collins presented her master’s thesis work today! We are so proud of the work that she has accomplished as the Biology Graduate Student Representative and the Biology Graduate Student Club president. She will be sorely missed in the Zippay Lab and at SSU but we know she is going to go on to brilliant things!

Congratulations Christina!!

Graduate Equity Fellowship

Once again, we would like to congratulate Jazmyne on yet another award! The intent of the Sonoma State Graduate Student Equity Fellowship is to help first generation, minority students minimize the debt burden and time to degree completion by replacing loans with grants. Students, like Jazmyne, who are interested in continuing on to a doctoral degree and are considering university faculty careers were given preference. Due to her highly competitive application, Jazmyne was awarded funding for the 2019-2020 school year!

Great job Jazmyne!
